Heroin and prescription opioid addiction and overdoses have been devastating homes, families and communities throughout Delaware. The addiction and loss of life is tragic and calls are loud for intervention and high levels of awareness.

GillespieHall created and produced a public service announcement video about this deadly threat. We hyper-localized the campaign to Hockessin – an affluent, overwhelmingly white suburb where many households were suffering from the ravages of the deadly drug. Aimed at shattering stereotypes about hard drugs, our video featured local teens as actors, and encouraged parents to talk with their children. We coined this catchphrase: “Heroin isn’t somewhere else… it’s here.”

The video was well received and opened up a critically important life-saving conversation within the target audience.
